Grammy-nominated songwriters are bringing their chart-topping hits to West Texas in a unique fundraising event. The Education Foundation of Odessa will host “Nashville Songwriters Under the West Texas Stars” on Saturday, March 1, featuring country music powerhouses Rhett Akins and The Warren Brothers.
Akins, a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and ACM Songwriter of the Decade, has penned over 35 number-one hits for artists like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Thomas Rhett. The Warren Brothers, Emmy Award winners Brett and Brad Warren, have written nine chart-toppers performed by Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others.
The intimate evening will offer attendees a rare glimpse into the stories behind some of country music’s biggest hits. The event will also feature a live auction, with proceeds supporting innovative educational programs in ECISD schools.
There are a few tables left for individual ticket sales. Only a handful are available at $150 a piece. The individual ticket does not include food, but will be a cash bar. Anyone interested can contact Celeste Potter at (432)456-7059.
